Tim Denson is the criminal and the villain protagonist of the 123 Slaughter Me Street series, as well as the creator of the Foggle Friends show. He is the character the player plays as in all the games including the spin offs.
Appearance[]
He is a Caucasian man with black hair, an undershirt, black pants, and small nearly visible stubble later on in the cutscene he is shown in. In 123 Slaughter Me Street Retro he has short brown hair, wears an undershirt and a pair of jeans, and a coat. In the YT channel, Tim has the same clothing, but with different shirts, while also having longer hair and a thicker beard. He has faint facial hair and a medium sized orange nose. He is commonly seen with a tired expression.
Personality[]
While the full extent of Tim's personality was unknown for most of the series, there were implications of Tim being mentally unwell based on the cutscenes from Slaughter Me Street 2. In 1999, While not entirely canon does delve more into Tim as a whole fleshing out his personality. Here it is revealed that Tim cared about his daughter and only wanted what was best for both him and her. He is also shown to be very attached and passionate about his show "Foggle Friends" due to it being heavily tied to his plan to get both him and his child to a better place, being incredibly hopeful that the show would be picked up to bitter when his hard work was rejected, and immediately going back to being happy when the show was picked up. His creativity is also shown where he can come up with characters both on his own and with inspiration, creativity in which he devotes a lot of time into to the point of fixating on it until it's finished.
He seemed to have problems prior to finding the odd book as he goes to a doctor about issues relating to stress. After using the summoning tome, Tim began suffering from more issues from nightmares causing lack of sleep that result in blacking out, potentially overworking himself for the show, and paranoia. These issues also seem to affect the way he writes.
History[]
123 Slaughter Me Street[]
At the game's original release Tim was only mentioned directly by the Reporter not only the creator of the puppets that chase the player on the floors and through a report where it was believed that Tim also resided in the apartment complex on 123 Suttermill Street where the player finds themselves at. His name also appeared in the opening cutscene on the apartment under "Denson Studios". Later it was revealed that Tim was the Criminal, meaning while escaping the police he fell through the roof of the apartment complex and is the character the player plays as during the events of the game.
123 Slaughter Me Street 2[]
In this game, Tim is seen physically only through cutscenes. From the opening intro, Tim Denson worked inside his basement as while working on the puppets. While working to make puppets for the show, the horned puppet from the cabinet (that happens to resemble the Nightmare) spoke to him. He suddenly stopped working when his daughter came into his basement from upstairs. While approaching his daughter, he became mentally ill as the Nightmare urged him to kill his daughter, which he did. After the events of this game. He left the house running from the police, becoming the criminal in 123 Slaughter Me Street. It is assumed by the cutscenes that Tim is once again the character the player controls during the events of the game.
Retro Series[]
Tim is once again the playable character, though his name is never mentioned directly. Only serving as the "protagonist" players control through the re enactments of the first game. In both games Tim can also be customizable and is the first time Tim is seen in gameplay.
Slaughter Me Street: 1999[]
In 1999, much more can be learned about him through files scattered throughout the levels. Specifically one's labeled "Tim's Journal", Which helps document Tim's thought process as well as events that are happening to him. These entries timeline the events that made the Foggle Friends show popular through Tim's involvement as well as his gradual descent into madness.
The House files[]
From Files found in the house, Tim's journal was started as a suggestion from his doctor to help reduce some of the stress Tim has been dealing with. Not knowing what to write at first Tim simply describes the state of the apartment he and his daughter lives in and his hopes of a show he's pitching to take off. In the second entry Tim finished a costume for one of the costumes for the show, Walter the Wyvern. He noted that the legs are a little short but it wouldn't matter if things go their way. In the third entry, Tim is shown to be upset that his pitch was rejected by presumably a higher up at Happy Sun Studios, complaining about how they don't know how much he sacrificed, how hard he worked, and he desperately needed this show to succeed. After this entry, Tim finds a book with strange markings outside of his apartment with a note slid underneath on of the covers saying "Make your dreams come true". On the last entry found in this level, Tim got a call back saying that the higher up changed his mind and the studio will produce the show. It's implied that Tim used the book in order to make his dream come true, soon declaring they'll be out of the apartments promising bigger and better things ahead.

Trivia[]
- Apparently Tim Denson would've had a voice stated by DAGames on a live stream. Will had decided to scrap this idea as it wouldn't have fit in with how the game feels.
- On the Odd Stories Youtube channel Tim does have a voice, most notably in The Lonely Madness of Tim Denson, However, this is considered non canon.
- There is a common speculation that Tim died during the fall through the Apartment complex's roof and the events of the first game is going through purgatory until he winds up in Hell.
- While non-canon to the series, Super Retro supports this speculation with the floor after being floor 666.
- Tim Denson's name was based on "Jim Henson", the original creator of The Muppets Show and Sesame Street.
- There are three Relics that are related to Tim specifically, The Crowbar, Summoning Tome and the Foggle Friends poster. The crowbar presumably being the the murder weapon, the summoning tome being the book that Tim used to get his show accepted, and the poster of the show itself being Tim's creation.
