The Objective is a collectable that appears in 123 Slaughter Me Street 2 and serves as the literal "objective" the player must find and collect to unlock the Exit.

Appearance and Function[]

The Objective takes the appearance of a mysterious pink glowing orb the player must find to activate the Exit in order to end a level in 123 Slaughter Me Street 2. As soon as the "SEEK!" phase starts after successfully hiding in Hiding Spots, the player will have to search the house to find this Objective. For a few seconds after the phase starts, there will be a line on the ground that will help guide the player to the Objective's location before going away shortly after. Should the line go away and the Player is nowhere near the objective, they will have to search for it without guidance.

The Objective itself can spawn in different parts of the House, this ultimately depends on where the player ends up after the "HIDE!" phase ends completely as it will usually spawn a certain distance away from where the player is currently located. So if the player uses the same hiding spots in the same order on different levels (or ends up using the same final hiding spot), it will likely spawn in very similar locations.

Trivia[]

  • The Objective was featured in a gameplay trailer for 123 Slaughter Me 2 but it notably had slightly different lighting, was brighter and clearer.
  • The Objective is one of the few mechanics to have not returned in any form in the Spin-Offs.
    • Although, Parts of it, like it's pink glow would be later used for the Relics in Slaughter Me Street: 1999, which would serve as the main collectable objectives and to help keep some consistency. In a later Demo, The line that would appear to guide the player to the Objective was also used for finding the Exits on certain difficulties.
  • It is entirely unknown what the Objective is supposed to be, represent, or mean anything if at all, As there is nothing connected to it that would assume it's importance to the series larger story as a "core" gameplay element.
