Odd Stories for Odd Children (OSFOC) or now simply called Odd Stories YT, is a YouTube channel run by John Kolbek. Although the channel is not associated with IGS nor 123 Slaughter Me Street in any official compacity, several characters from the Slaughter Me Street series became minor reoccurring characters up until 2020.
Appearances[]
First Appearance[]
The first appearance of any Slaughter Me Street element was in the video called "Uninvited Guests". In the video Cirrhosis (A drunk dim-witted Wolf) asks Osfoc (A demonic bear storyteller and sorcerer) for a bed time story which introduces and alludes to the puppet characters as well as the Nightmare. Osfoc ends up accidently summoning both the Follower and the Greeter by reading a strange spell on the back of the book. After being mistaken for being in some other games, the puppets try to take over the show forcing Osfoc to try and conjure up a spell to try and get rid of the puppets in the form of a song. This ends up failing but when Osfoc mentions the word Nightmare the puppets seem to beg the bear and wolf to not mention "his" name. To which the Cirrhosis does again, ending the episode with the Nightmare's appearance.
At the end, there was an announcement that Slaughter Me Street 3 was being made. Although since then Slaughter Me Street 3 development has started from scratch and all concepts or further mention or allusions to the game are no longer officially connected to the third title.
Music Videos[]
Some of the more notable appearances of the Slaughter Me Street characters include music videos in which they appeared in the following in some form:
- I don't care who you think you are ( from Uninvited Guests)
- Future's Past (Formally known as the Greeter's Song)
- What Magic Spell (from Live Nights at Slaughter Me Streets)
- The Nightmare (Formally known as the Follower's song)
- Come in our world
- Wolfman go go
The Most notable of these appearances were the demon puppets appearing in both "Future's Past" and "The Nightmare". At the time they were loosely connected to Slaughter Me Street 3 as their designs matched the known concept sketches, however since the game's development is starting from scratch the designs for these characters were made unofficial and non canon. This is also where most of the 3D modeled characters showed up as Nightmare, the Demon puppets, and the "Monster Numbers" logo all appeared in this form from the videos. The Follower appeared the most out of the known list of videos that included Slaughter Me Street characters, with the exceptions of "Come in our world".
The Lonely Madness of Tim Denson[]
The Lonely Madness of Tim Denson was a two part video that featured Tim Denson. Because of the Channel's position these two videos are considered to be non canon as well. The two videos also includes various characters from numerous OSFOC skits including Ofsoc himself and Cirrhosis. The only puppets related to the actual Slaughter Me Street series is the Follower and Waiter puppets. The first part almost completely silent outside of the sound effects used for laughing and a scream. The second however includes a little bit of voice acting for Tim and a different puppet called the Sin Eater.
This is the last remaining video that included any mention of the Slaughter Me Street Characters outside of compilations of the show's skits and music.
Characters/Cameos[]
“ | I think it's the Follower, and he has a gun! | ” |
— Cirrhosis (Uninvited Guests)
|
The Follower[]
The Follower appears in the show as a slightly modified Lenord puppet from Luna's Puppets. He's a live-hand puppet with blue fur, two pointy teeth on his top jaw, and dark blue eyes with brown curled goat horns added to the puppet. Compared to his in game counterpart he also has fingers compared to mitten like hands. The mechanisms on the puppet allowed the eyes to blink.
The Greeter[]
Unlike the Follower, The Greeter appears as an animatronic puppet. She looks drastically different from her in-game counterpart, With one of the most notable differences being her arms being completely covered in pink feathers, and brown eyes. The animatronic itself has mechanisms that would allow the Greeter to move and lift up her arms, open her mouth, blink, and two that move her feathers on her head similar to ears. These mechanisms and movements are shared with the Cirrhosis puppet (who is another animatronic puppet).
The Nightmare[]
The Nightmare appeared in a handful of videos usually associated with the Puppets. He always appeared as a 3D model that looks different from his game appearances. His fuzzy head now sported two red horns that pointed upwards, orange red reptilian slit pupils, a purple nose, sharp teeth and pointed ears that drooped downwards. While in videos his body is rarely seen or outright obscured, the rest of its body is mostly a dark red color with four long curved spikes on the edges of his chest. This Nightmare also has a tail that is segmented and pointed similar to a scorpion's and his wings are red with a slightly duller red membrane with five claws on each wing (three that would resemble it's fingers and two on the end of the wings). He also has a tongue which also was not seen in the series until this point.
The Demon Puppets[]
This group of characters were based on the early mock ups of Slaughter Me Street 3 and would essentially be demonic versions of the original cast, most of whom had masks of their respective puppets. These characters appeared only two times in the channel and consisted of Demon Follower, Demon Greeter, Demon Waiter, and Demon Hunter. Although made to potentially tease Slaughter Me Street 3, these characters are considered scrapped and thus non canon to anything relating to Slaughter Me Street. They served no other purpose otherwise and were never seen outside of the two music videos, Futures Past and the Nightmare.
“ | Tim, you seem to have a great deal of sin. | ” |
— Sin Eater (Lonely Madness of Tim Denson)
|
Tim Denson[]
Like the games he is a Caucasian man with black hair, an undershirt and black pants. However on the channel He also has different shirts, has longer hair and a thicker beard. He is the only character played by a live actor (John Kolbek himself) and has made most of his appearances in music videos with the most notable appearance being "The Lonely Madness of Tim Denson".
“ | I'm an abomination to existence | ” |
— Mr.Pig, translated (Hugalot Friends)
|
Mr. Pig[]
Mr. Pig was first seen in a teaser for Slaughter Me Street 3 on the channel where he had a 3D Model. Strangely, he also appeared in a one off video on OSFOC in puppet form with the only surviving clip of the puppet's debut appearance is being briefly seen in "The Hugalot Friends" video as part of a series of clips of previous guests on the show. The puppet itself seems to use a pig head mask and has a chef's hat that is larger and covering one of Mr. Pig's ears on top. The puppet also has the blue jacket and red bowtie the 3D model of Mr. Pig had albeit without the polka dots on the bowtie. Unlike his model however he seems to have a white-yellowish shirt underneath the jacket and wields a rolling pin. He does not speak but his oinks and sequels are subtitled by the clip itself.
The Waiter[]
The Waiter was the only one out of the original puppet cast from the first game that did not debut with the others. Instead, He was planned to appear later on as a puppet similar to the Follower's where it would repurpose a puppet and add features to it to make it resemble the Waiter more. The Waiter's puppet was a live hand puppet and seems to be a heavily modified yellow Norman puppet also from Luna's Puppets with horns instead of ears and more teeth than the Follower's puppet. Unfortunately however, This puppet only made two appearances on the channel, one of which has since been private or removed; A Live stream showing off the Waiter puppet and the 2nd part of "The Lonely Madness of Tim Denson". Before the Odd Stories channel stopped featuring the Slaughter Me Street characters all together. The puppet was also teased on John Kolbek's Instagram and Patreon. The Waiter puppet was also intended to have black wings rather than orange but this was never seen in his known appearances, at some point the puppet was going to have two different colored eyes, a green and blue one.

Trivia[]
- The channel has gone through a couple of name changes such as Wrapped in Plastic, Odd Stories Wrapped in Plastic, and even Slaughter Me Street through out its existence.
- A lot of assets including the animations for the 3D Models and segments for the puppets were green screened in.
- The Follower, Greeter, and Tim Denson had voice acting in the YouTube series unlike their canon game counterparts.
- Likewise, The Nightmare, who speaks in the games does not in the videos.
- In The Nightmare music video, there is one character that is not a Slaughter Me Street character. In the intro there is a shadowy blob-like creature named Mors among the demon puppets, who was thrown into the video for fun and was not meant to really mean anything.
- Another character with a similar distinction is the Sin Eater. A goat-like puppet who made their debut appearance in The Lonely Madness of Tim Denson part 2, however He currently has no baring on the actual 123 Slaughter Me Street franchise and was repurposed in another video "The Dr Spookenstein Halloween Special" as Igor.
- The puppet's name is confirmed to be "Bleetsvine" on a live stream on the Odd Stories Channel.
- A smaller connection was also drawn in the Let's Play Video of Slaughter Me Street 2's Lights out mode where Osfoc remarks that the puppets and demons on the loading screen looked familiar and that they might be "distant relatives" of his. Although this could be purely a reference to how John Kolbek worked on the games.
- At some point, a model and animation of the Waiter was made for the channel to tease the Waiter puppet. However, the animation was never used, and the puppet only made two appearances.
- Although a couple of videos including the Slaughter Me Street characters are still up, a lot were removed, became private or unlisted, unable to be seen publicly anymore This includes:
- The original Music videos for Futures Past that had the beginning skit before the song cut in the compilations.
- a stream that teased the Waiter Puppet
- The original video that included Mr. Pig's puppet appearance
- Follower Vs Greeter
- Gee Golly Remember Me
- The Slaughter Me Street 3 teasers prior to the game's development starting from scratch
- "...", The original video that teased the Follower Puppet.
- A short Let's Play styled video featuring Osfoc playing Slaughter Me Street 2's Lights Out mode update
- Some of these clips however, (Namely ". . ." and the Let's Play) can still be seen in small clips on YouTube channels that covered the Odd Stories channel when it was still believed to be connected to Slaughter Me Street.
- Slaughter Me Street Retro 2?
- Tim's Last Stand (A segment of this survived through one of the music compilations)
- Patreon videos
- If the old teasers for Slaughter Me Street 3 were to be counted, The Seeker and Stalker never made an appearance separate from the gameplay from the Let's Play video at the time of the channel making Slaughter Me Street related content as every other character has either appeared in the Odd Stories show or in one of the old teasers for the third game.
